A Note about Terms

I am generally using the word wrapping in these writings, rather than "babywearing" or something similar. In no way am I meaning to dis-clude other types of wearing. "Babywearing" simply does not seem like an accurate term for a blog that focuses on the benefits of wearing well beyond baby-hood.

I most commonly refer to the emotional special need of SPD, or Sensory Processing Disorder. I know that SPD is no longer an official disorder, and that many children have other diagnosis. However, sensory processing is a part of many different diagnosis, and SPD is the most common abbreviation. I hope that parents of many different kinds of children, including those without any diagnosis at all, will appreciate these perspectives for helping their children with sensory integration.
